Complex Explanations in ‘Plain English’
Yesterday I mentioned how much I appreciated the Mobile Reader application Google features on its new 2008 Presidential Election site, but did so under the false assumption that most already know how RSS feeds work. The reality is that all of this online “stuff” can be confusing, and it’s why I wanted to share with you a site that I subscribe to daily –Common Craft.
Common Craft uses a whiteboard and paper approach to making complex explanations easy to understand, by cutting out unnecessary noise and focusing on the concepts that matter. Below you will see its latest custom video describing how Google Reader works.

Should you choose to do so, you could subscribe to Tradeshow Insight by adding the feed to your Google Reader (or other news reader). It’s a great way to stay on top of updates and new content without having to visit the site. I’ve listed below a few of the feeds I’m currently subscribed, to in case you’d like to know what I’m reading these days. Enjoy!
- Event Tech Blog (Tradeshow Week)
- Bernaisesource (Atlanta-based social media and PR blog)
- SCMITTblog (Columbia University professor and experiential marketing guru, Bernd Schmitt’s blog)
