Daylite Touch for iPhone Delayed Until Early 2009

I was disheartened this morning when I learned that Market Circle — makers of the business productivity suite, Daylite for Mac users — has evidently delayed the release of its iPhone application, Daylite Touch.

Right now, Daylite syncs with address book and iCal on my MacBook, which in turn, syncs with my iPhone.  But it doesn’t allow for the seamless exchange of data that I’d hoped for when I stood in line five hours to purchase the new 3G model iPhone. The new mobile app should allow users to:

  • Collaborate and deliver on projects
  • Manage tasks and calendars
  • Generate and track new business development

This is important to me because I spend a lot of time in-motion, splitting time between Atlanta and Chicago, and traveling to-and-from various trade shows.  So I depend on my iPhone to manage tasks, calendars and contacts.

I can’t explain how helpful it was to have access all of my appointments and notes when in Las Vegas for, other than to say I had every bit of information I needed smartly organized on my iPhone.  So when I finished one appointment, I immediately parked my butt in a chair and entered in the details of the previous meeting, noting every detail.
