San Diego Convention Center Expanding

Fresh off a trip to Southern California where my wife and family celebrated her brother’s wedding this past weekend, I was happy to read online today that the San Diego Convention Center Corporation’s board of directors voted unanimously to acquire a lease option on an 8.5 acre area of land that could add up to 500,000 sqf. of exhibit space by 2014.

After having spent the latter half of my weekend at San Diego’s famed Hotel Del Coronado, I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing an expansion of the city’s convention center. It’s a beautiful place by the water with a mess of great restaurants and entertaining possibilities. Bring it on!
