CES Expands Mac Related Pavillion

Trade Show Week reported today that the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is expanding the size of the iLounge, a pavilion dedicated to Mac-related products, from 4,000 net sq. feet to nearly 25,000 net sq. feet at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next year.  Space has already sold out for the iLounge, which largely features products and services related to the iPod and iPhone.

The high demand for space is likely the result of exhibitor backlash after Apple pulled out of Macworld earlier this year, coupled with show organizers decision to move the show from its traditional January dates to February.

CES has seized this opportunity and one can only assume that the iLounge will continue to experienced increased growth if the show can attract larger players from the Macworld confrerence.
