International Exhibiting: Echelon Design and Harris Products Group

Today, I’m fresh back from Essen, Germany where last week Echelon Design partnered with Harris Products Group on a custom exhibit rental at Schweissen & Schneiden (September 14 to 19).  Held once every few years, the international cutting and welding fair attracted an estimated 60,000 buyers and attendees.

We were tasked with the challenge of designing a rental exhibit that would fit within the client’s contracted 8m by 25m space and meet the following objectives.

Private Lounge
The client needed us to create a completely exclusive area within the space where it could cater to its key clientele and prospect customers.  Food and bar service and casual seating would be the primary functional requirements of the hospitality area.

Private Conferencing
Beyond hospitality, we needed to create a few private conference rooms where the client could take someone from the lounge, into a more personal setting for further discussions.

Product Display
Since this was the first time that Harris Products Group had exhibiting internationally in such a large presence, the client needed to introduce its products to the market in a big way.  This meant designing a series of custom displays that the client could use to exhibit its products.
